Not all change is improvement and not all busyness is productivity. If the effort outweighs the impact, don't do it. If it's not for the pupils, don't do it.

You have taught them, but have they learnt it?

Testimonials

I had a one to one consultation with Timi to discuss the reading vision for KS2 in my school. It helped me track and plan out the reading spines within my school which has had a brilliant impact already in my school just 6 months on. I also took part in the Ramsbury Hub Reading Aloud Project facilitated by Timi last year which was super.

Rachel Saunders Lawn Primary and Nursery School | KS2 Reading lead

Timi was very open to creating and delivering a training session which met the needs of where we are currently at as an academy around the implementation of retrieval practice to support long term memory. She gave clear examples of what retrieval practice is and what it is not and offered practical suggestions for how we might develop and embed this in our practice across subjects. Timi was warm and responsive and staff felt ready to implement ideas in their practice following the session. Thank you, Timi.

Emma Kemp Abbey View Primary Academy | Vice Principal

Timi facilitated focused discussions around our strengths and areas for development. She provided a personal and bespoke service which suited our ethos and provided helpful support and challenge. Timi was the perfect match for our school as her expertise in Literacy enabled us to review our approach, ask questions and receive advice and suggestions, based on real-life examples, to support our future planning.

Sarah O'Connor Ashmead Combined School | Assistant Head

Timi was very supportive. She has helped us celebrate what we do well and has given some good advice on how we can develop our practice further.

M.H. English Lead and Class Teacher

We addressed ways to improve general working practices for me personally, and the team as a whole, and ways to work better as a team and appreciate colleagues. The consultancy was very useful and got me thinking about these things in a way that I might not have done previously.

You can’t teach reading comprehension skills. You can only teach what they mean. True comprehension comes from background knowledge and meaningful discussion of texts
